We had the pleasure of working with one of the most progressive viticultural contracting businesses in Marlborough. Based out of Blenheim, this project consisted of building storage for four grape harvesters and grape bins. They also required a workshop for the maintenance of all equipment.

The CHALLENGE

Vaughan Rose had limited storage capacity and had equipment located across multiple locations. He wanted a solution that would allow everything to be stored together over the off-season and a workshop space that allowed for maintenance. Other key requirements included a 20m clearspan, giving harvesters room to turn around inside the shed and a large and secure storage area for expensive equipment.

The SOLUTION

Considering all the key requirements, Alpine designed the perfect shed at the size required and within specification. A 20m by 24m clearspan gable shed was built for harvester storage, with a 6.0m by 20.0m lean-to off the back for grape bin storage. Alpine created the shed with plenty of internal space to allow harvesters to turn around. This shed now provides a secure, birdproof storage area for the client's viticultural machinery and equipment as well as a practical workshop space.
